Compress PDF to Under 1MB
Many government portals, job application forms and university admissions systems require PDF files under 1MB or even 500KB.
How to get PDF under 1MB:
- Upload your PDF
- Select Extreme compression
- Check the output size
- If still over 1MB, split the PDF first
Typical results:
- 5MB image PDF → 800KB (Extreme)
- 10MB scanned PDF → 1.5MB
- Text-only PDFs: already usually small
For scanned documents over 10MB, split into sections first using FlikTools Split PDF, then compress each section.
